The Development Executive Group believes in the importance of networking as a means to create opportunities and share information among international development professionals. We provide a range of networking services including:

Executive Seminars

For Executive Members only, we host regular Executive Seminar events with noted leaders in international development and senior executives. Speakers at Executive Seminar events have included Andrew Natsios, Jeff Sachs, Gene Sperling, Len Good, Ken Rogoff, and officials from the World Bank, Millennium Challenge Corporation, and other development agencies. These events provide an opportunity to share information on the latest trends in international development and for senior executives to develop stronger relationships in our community.

Professional Events

In Washington, DC, The Development Executive Group has hosted several networking “happy hour” events where hundreds of professionals from the US Agency for International Development, World Bank, US State Department, international NGOs, development consulting firms, and universities gather to socialize among members of our community. We have also hosted a new year’s eve party for international development professionals in Washington, DC, attended by over 400 guests.

As a networking service, members of The Development Executive Group may now utilize our “Find Colleagues” service to contact fellow expatriates, colleagues, and old friends working in international development.
